Step 1----
BRUSHING/COMBING --- Brushing keeps your hair tangle free and distributes its natural oils throughout the hair. This promotes healthy growth and shine. But remember--Excessive Brushing or stimulating the scalp can pull hairs from the follicles, create split-ends, and create irritation. Contrary to the old wives' tale, giving your scalp a massage or 100 brushes a day will not stimulate hair growth.
STEP 2---
DEEP CONDITONING/OILING---------
Deep condition you hair twice a week (for Dry/coarse/normal/coloured/brittle hair).
If you have Oily hair, deep condition your hair once a week.
Take 2 tbsp (30 ml) of Coconut oil and place it in a small bowl or mug. Place the small bowl or mug in the water on the gas oven.
Add 1 tbsp (15 ml) of Olive oil if your scalp is dry, if you have dandruff add few drops of Lemon juice in it...
Add 1 tbsp. (15 ml) of jojoba oil for fungal scalp problems. Jojoba oil is a natural fungicide.
Add Half tbsp Castor oil if you have thin hair..
You can use any other herbal hair oil which suits you.
Allow the oil to sit for a few minutes until it is warm but not hot. Massge to your scalp n hair strands by gentle strokes. You can leave it for over night( if your hair not Oily).
Next day before shampoo Do a Hot towel therapy. Oily hair person do Hot towel therapy once a month...
Dry /coarse/brittle/normal hair person do hot towel therapy once or twice a week.
Step 3-------
WASH YOUR HAIR--- How often you wash your hair depends on your hair type and texture....
IF your hair is coarse/dry if it often feels brittle- this means you only need to wash it every second or third day....
If your hair is fine/oily if it feels greasy the day after you wash it- this means you need to wash it daily....
If your hair is normal if you wash it one day and it's not too greasy the next- this means you can get away with washing it every other day.
SHAMPOO TIPS----
Remember to shampoo in small, circularand gently movements..
Coarse/dry hair will benefit from cream based hydrating shampoos.
Fine/oily hair should be washed with a clear shampoo (one that doesn't look creamy). The gentle shampoo designed for daily washing.
Normal hair can use just about any type of shampoo- just remember to always use good quality products for the best results.
Colored or treated hair probably needs a shampoo that's fortified with extracts or amino acids, because treating your hair is essentially damaging it.
CONDITIONER TIPS-----
If you've got coarse/dry hair try a hydrating/cream based conditioner and apply it right from your roots to your ends.
For fine/oily hair use a lightweight conditioner and avoid putting it on your roots (evenly distribute it from the mid-lengths to the ends).
For normal hair you can use just about any kind of conditioner, applied from your roots to your ends also.
STEP 4 ---
LET HAIR DRY NATURALLY -----
After you get out of the shower, give your hair a quick pat-down, squeezing the hair gently between the towel. Do NOT rub the hair, this can weaken the follicle and make the hair brittle and dull. Dont comb your hair when it's wet. Give your hair a quick brush-through when its semi dried to get rid of tangles and let your hair dry naturally.
Try not to use a blow-drier. Healthy hair does not respond well to heat. Hair can sustain heat damage easily, especially from blow-driers. If you have to use a blow-drier, dry your hair using the lowest-temperature setting and limit usage to once a week.
Straightening and blow drying your hair too often can damage your hair, so make sure you use a heat protectant spray first.
Do not sleep with wet or damp hair. This will weaken the follicles and make hair strands brittle. Blow dry in low heat at the roots before bed.
Never sleep in a pony tail or bun when your hair is wet. It causes breakage.
STEP 5---
TRIM YOUR HAIR REGULARLY ----
The best way to get rid of split ends is to..trim your hair every 6-8 weeks..
Avoid perming, crimping, straightening, curling, and bleaching or repeatedly coloring hair if at all possible.
STEP 6----
EAT HEALTHY AND GIVE YOUR HAIR THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF VITAMINS ----
Make sure that you eat a balanced diet rich in lean protein, whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables. A healthy diet will ensure better-looking, better-feeling hair.
Make sure you get plenty of vitamin C (strengthens hair), iron (helps transport oxygen to blood vessels), zinc (grows and repairs tissue), and omega-3 fatty acids (grows healthy hair). Along with all of these drink plenty of water, atleast 7/8 glass daily.
Give your hair some time to show new brilliance. What you eat will not have an immediate difference on the hair you already have, but it will help with hair that is newly growing.
STEP 7---
REMOVE STRESS FROM YOUR LIFE--
Stress can cause hair loss, so try not to let stress overcome you. This means finding healthy emotional outlets for your stress---
yoga, biking, meditation, pranayams or other forms of exercise all work well.
