How to Lighten Dark Upper Lip Color Using Natural Home Remedy

Bright, naturally pink lips signify youth and beauty. Many young children are blessed with naturally rosy lips and over time the lips may darken. To lighten a dark upper-lip color using natural home remedies, you must first look at your overall diet. Coffee, tea, red wine and smoking can cause the darkening of the upper lip. Also, lipstick residues cause lips to darken or look stained. Once you remove these issues, try some simple natural home remedies to brighten your lip

Things You'll Need
1 tbsp. honey
2 tbsp. lime juice
Cup
1 tbsp. double cream
3 saffron strands
1 cup cilantro
Blender
Fine sieve
Cotton balls
2 glass containers
2 cup grated carrots
Lip exfoliator
1 tsp. almond oil
Shea butter

Instructions
1
Pour 1 tbsp. honey and 2 tbsp. lime juice into a cup and stir it well. Spread the mixture over the lip everyday for about four days to naturally lighten your upper lip color. Be sure to leave the mixture on the lip for at least 30 minutes.

2
Mix together 1 tbsp. double cream and three saffron strands into a cup. Apply it to your dark upper lip every day for one month. Allow the cream mixture to dry naturally on the lip and it should lighten it.

3
Blend 1 cup cilantro with a small amount of water in a blender. Strain the juice out of the cilantro with a fine sieve. Dip a cotton ball in the juice and spread the juice over the upper lip each night before bed for approximately 15 days. Store leftover juice in a glass container.

4
Blend 2 cups of grated carrots in a blender and strain with a fine sieve to retain the juice. Dip a cotton ball into the juice to spread it over the lip daily, and allow the juice to dry naturally onto the lips. It should lighten the area. Keep the juice in a glass container.

5
Exfoliate your lips with a lip exfoliator and then apply 1 tsp. almond oil. Let the almond oil sit on your lips for at least an hour. Do this every day for several weeks.

6
Spread shea butter over your upper lip every night before bed to retain the moisture in your lips. If you do not have shea butter, choose a lip balm with shea butter as its main ingredient.
