Reduce Pimples/acne redness

When a pimple appears on your skin, its redness is prominent and you want to get rid of it as soon as it is formed, even overnight. We often pinch and pop pimples which cause inflammation, redness and leave scars.

Here are some easy tips to reduce pimples/acne redness:

Toothpaste:

It has been used for generations and it works overnight. Apply a little quantity of toothpaste on the pimple. If you have acne all over your face then do not use toothpaste as it can make the condition worst, use toothpaste only for a pimple. Leave it overnight, wash your face in the morning you will notice that the redness is gone and the pimple feels dry. Gel type toothpaste wont work for this.

Lemon:

Lemon has great anti inflammatory qualities. It helps to lighten the skin tone. Mix equal parts of lemon juice and rose water, apply with a cotton ball to your skin, leave it on for 30 minutes then wash with warm water. Regular use can minimize the redness.

Aspirin:

Aspirin has the same effect as toothpaste. You will need to crush aspirin and make a paste with water. Gently apply this paste to your skin. Leave it on for 30 minutes then rinse with water.

Ice:

Every freezer has got ice. Take few ice cube s and cover them in a clean cloth. Keep this cloth on your skin for about 30 minutes. It will reduce pain due to pimple along with redness. Also, you can directly rub an ice cube on a pimple.

Prevention is the best cure:

The best way to avoid or at least lessen the effects of acne and inflammation is by washing face at least twice a day with a mild cleanser. Noxzema and clean & clear cleanse your skin without over drying.

Anti Bacterial ointments

You can make use of Benzoyl peroxide and Salicylic acid preparations to reduce redness. Many doctors suggest that excessive use of salicylic acid might have adverse effects.

If you suffer from persistent acne outbreaks , you should consult a dermatologist.
